The Information Technology Department handles all complaints for the City's cable franchisees.  In 2005, this Department worked to establish an updated Cable Standards Ordinance whereby any company wishing to become a cable provider would have to abide.  To review the current Cable Television Standards Ordinance click here.

The Department also renegotiated the expired cable franchise with Adelphia who was subsequently being sold to Comcast.  The Buena Vista City Council adopted the new cable franchise with Adelphia Cable, to be transferred to Comcast, on December 8, 2005.  Click here to view the franchise agreement.
