PUBLIC HEARING:

  • A Public Hearing is being held by the Buena Vista Volunteer Fire Department as follows:
    Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Public Law No. 100-647 S1013(a)(24)(A)(1988), the Fire Department will hold a public hearing on December 18, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at 2039 Sycamore Avenue. The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss acquisition by lease purchase of: One – 2009 Pierce Fire Apparatus as per Department’s specifications. And the refinance of existing debt and financial arrangements related thereto.
    Approximate amount of issue $1,406,392.41 – All interested persons are invited to attend.
     

RECOGNITION/COMMUNICATION FROM VISITORS: Citizens who desire to speak on matters not listed on the agenda will be heard at this time. Citizens who desire to speak on the Agenda will be heard when the agenda item is considered.

  1. CONSIDER APPOINTMENT TO VARIOUS BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES
  2. CONSIDER SECOND READING AND APPROVAL OF A CODE ENFORCEMENT ORDINANCE
  3. CONSIDER SECOND READING AND APPROVAL OF THE PUBLIC PRIVATE EDUCATION ACT PPEA ORDINANCE
  4. CONSIDER SECOND READING AND APPROVAL OF:
    Repeal 302.105 Parking Space Definition 10 x 30
    Repeal 703.03 Parking Space Requirements for All Districts
    Amend Appendix E to read: Parking Design Standards General Standards
  5. CONSIDER SECOND READING AND APPROVAL OF ADDING THE FOLLOWING DEFINITION TO ARTICLE 3: “Performance Guarantee”: A bond with surety and/or cash deposit, escrow, or letter of credit approved by the governing body or its administration in the amount equal to the full cost of improvements required by these regulations and providing for completion of said improvements within a definite term and to provide an additional 10% percent of total for administrative costs.
  6. CONSIDER SECOND READING AND APPROVAL OF THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENT TO 1500.00 AND AMENDMENT 1505.01 TO OMIT THE WORDS "ZONING ADMINISTRATOR"
    1501.03 – Requirements of this section may be waived upon recommendation of the city manager or his authorized agent and with the approval of the Planning Commission; provided that the intent of this Article may not be circumvented.
    Amendment 1504.01 to read: omit the words zoning administrator
    1504.01 – All site plans which are appropriately submitted and which conform to the standards and requirements set forth in this article shall be approved by the zoning administrator Planning Commission after having been reviewed and recommended for approval by the city manager or his agents, relative to: amended 4/13/08

  1. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A LETTER TO FINANCING FIRM FOR THE BUENA VISTA FIRE DEPARTMENT
